About us

Marque IV has grown from strength to strength since opening on Hobart's picturesque waterfront in 2005. In 2006, Marque IV won the AHA/RCA Best Overall Restaurant in Tasmania. The restaurant more recently won the Best Modern Australian Restaurant in the 2007 Savour Australia National Awards for Excellence and was included in the 2007 and 2008 Gourmet Traveller 100 Top Restaurants in Australia.

Nestled halfway along Elizabeth Street Pier, Marque IV enjoys extensive water views on either side of the dining room. Diners can also feast their eyes on our expansive open kitchen, designed to show off our busy kitchen brigade at work.

Marque IV features plush chocolate leather and dense Tasmanian Blackwood. The mood is always warm, with starched linen, low lighting and gentle jazz. We cater for both intimate tables and larger groups with a convenient re-design of the room.

Executive Chef Justin Harris's menu executes the best produce Tasmania has to offer with an adventurous twist.
